Reformation Journal exists to serve the church by publishing thoughtful, biblically grounded content that informs the mind, stirs the heart, and strengthens the body of Christ. Our articles address theology, biblical exposition, church history, and cultural engagement from a confessional Protestant perspective. We also feature discerning reviews of books, films, podcasts, and other media that shape the thinking of Christians today.
Our contributors include pastors, theologians, seminary professors, apologists, authors, and other faithful Christian thinkers who are committed to the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture, salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, and the glory of God as the chief end of man. Every writer affirms the broad theological commitments of the Reformation, including:
The full inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible as the Word of God.
The historic Reformed understanding of the gospel, in continuity with the Protestant Reformation.
The biblical doctrines of the Trinity, the deity and humanity of Christ, and His substitutionary atonement.
The exclusivity of Christ for salvation and the necessity of repentance and faith.
A biblical sexual ethic, affirming marriage as the union of one man and one woman and rejecting all forms of sexual immorality, including homosexuality and transgender ideology.
The regulative principle of worship and the authority of Scripture over all matters of faith and practice.
At Reformation Journal, our mission is to recover the theological depth and moral clarity of historic Protestantism and apply it to the challenges facing the contemporary church, with the conviction that theology must reform hearts, churches, and culture.
